After finding this smoothie recipe on Pinterest I did some more research on it and have really grown to love it. I have started having it for breakfast everyday for the past few weeks. Not only does it taste good and is good for you but it also helps your skin glow (hence the name)! Kimberly Snyder is a nutritionist to the stars and has been giving them this recipe for some time. You can find more information on her website here. I have been getting a lot of questions about it at work so I thought it was worth sharing! There are more than 3 cups of leafy green vegetables in it which is normally hard for me to achieve on a normal day without the smoothie. I usually make it twice a week (Sunday & Wednesday) because it makes enough for a few days. It doesn't take that much time and then I have 16oz. each day. It is fast and easy to grab as I run out the door each morning.
Recipe: Glowing Green Smoothie
1 1/2 Cup Water
1 Head Romaine Lettuce, chopped
Large Handful of spinach
3 stalks celery
1 Apple
1 Pear
1 Banana
1/2 Fresh squeezed lemon juice (I cheat and use a store bought bottle)
**You can mix it up and use other fruits like blueberries or strawberries to change the flavors.
